What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy involving the insertion of very fine, sterile, single-use needles into carefully selected points on the body.

Each treatment is individually tailored following a consultation and takes into consideration your symptoms, health history and overall wellbeing.

Acupuncture May Help Support

• Back, neck and shoulder pain
• Muscular and joint pain
• Headaches and migraines
• Muscular tension and sports recovery
• Stress and anxiety symptoms
• Sleep difficulties
• Digestive complaints
• Women’s health and menstrual wellbeing
• Menopausal symptoms, including hot flushes
• Fatigue and general wellbeing
• Relaxation and stress management

What is Fire Cupping?

Fire cupping is a traditional Chinese medicine technique in which a flame is briefly used to create a vacuum inside a glass cup before the cup is safely applied to the skin.

The suction gently lifts the skin and underlying tissues and is commonly used to relieve muscular tension and stiffness, encourage local circulation, promote relaxation and support muscular recovery.

What is Gua Sha?

Gua Sha is a traditional East Asian therapy using a smooth-edged tool to apply controlled strokes across the skin and underlying soft tissues.

It is used to encourage local circulation, work areas of muscular and fascial tension, relieve stiffness and support recovery.

Gua Sha can range from gentle techniques used on the face to stronger therapeutic techniques used on the body.

Facial Sculpting Massage

A natural, non-invasive facial treatment combining Gua Sha, silicone facial cupping and Indonesian-inspired massage techniques.

The techniques work across the facial muscles and soft tissues to encourage circulation, relieve tension and puffiness and enhance the natural contours of the face, leaving the complexion looking refreshed, sculpted and radiant.

NADA Ear Acupuncture

NADA is a standardised protocol using five acupuncture points in each ear.

Originally developed for use within addiction and substance-dependence programmes, NADA is now also used to support relaxation, stress and emotional wellbeing.

It is also used as supportive care by some menopausal women and people affected by cancer treatment who experience symptoms such as hot flushes.
